Parking:

The Grove Barton Location offers an open parking lot with two handicap accessible spaces near the restaurant entrance. This thoughtful placement aims to enhance accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges, making it easier for them to enter the restaurant without undue difficulty.

However, it is important to note that the parking area is characterized by a noticeable slope, which may pose challenges for some visitors, particularly those who rely on mobility aids such as wheelchairs or walkers. This incline could create a less-than-ideal experience for individuals who may find navigating such terrain difficult. Therefore, it is advisable for guests to be mindful of this aspect when planning their visit.

For those seeking the most level parking spots, it is recommended to park directly in front of the building. This area offers a flatter surface, which can significantly enhance the ease of entering and exiting vehicles. By choosing this option, guests can avoid the potential difficulties associated with the sloped sections of the parking lot.

Entry:

Salt and Lime has a two-door pull entry system, starting from the ramped entrance from the parking lot to the door. The space between the doors is limited, which might necessitate assistance for some users to navigate both doors. Once you enter, the hostess stand will be awaiting you for directions to your table.

Seating:

Salt and Lime feature a variety of sitting options. In the bar area they have bar-height tables that do have movable chairs, if needed. On the other side of the restaurant, family style tables are arranged alongside booths, offering a variety of seating options to accommodate all visitors without overcrowding the space. In addition to this, they have a back room that can be utilized for larger parties, gatherings, or a more subdued atmosphere.

Restroom Facilities:

The restrooms here are situated at the end of a narrow hallway. Because of the hallway's width, users with mobility devices might not be able to pass if others are present. At the end of the hallway, the restrooms include one handicap-accessible stall equipped with grab bars. However, the sink and paper towel dispenser might be challenging to access for some users due to the layout.

Menu Highlights:

For starters, try one of the various salsa options alongside the queso dip as you prepare for your meal. We haven't tried a salsa option yet that we did not love, but particular favorites are the house and Caribbean Salsas. Not a fan of queso? Try one of their guacamole offerings instead!

Moving to main courses, a personal favorite is the Bangkok Shrimp Tacos with the perfect amount of heat, complimented by the refreshing Caribbean Salsa. We also loved the Shrimp and Grits, blending a southern favorite with the flavors of smoked gouda and chipotle.

Key Features for Accessibility:

  • Wonderful staff is willing to help in any way!

  • Online ordering option.

  • Flexible seating options with open floor plan to fit everyone's needs!

Important Notes on Accessibility:

  • Some users may find the grade of the parking area difficult to maneuver. Opt for parking next to the building for the flattest parking spot options.

  • The two-door entry may require a second set of hands for some users.

  • Restrooms may be difficult to manage independently for some users.
